Zhiyuan Gao is currently a PhD student in Singapore Management University, School of Information System, instructed by Associate professor Zhiling Guo and Professor Robert J. Kauffman. He has take an exchange program in Carnegie Mellon University from 2016 to 2017, instructed by Fallaw Sowell.

His research interest focus on the Interdisciplinary  area between information system and finance. He is doing research on global payment flow analysis and crowdfunding.
